Are you someone who doesn't like being in front of the camera as much?
Feeling lost and don't know what to do?
I feel the same way.
It has also happened to me that I have felt completely unnatural in front of the camera. I've also clicked through a gallery and felt ashamed because the photographer caught me at an unflattering moment.
I am a professional horse photographer with 12 years of experience. My aim is to create natural and emotional images that make you feel beautiful and comfortable. Thanks to my specialisation in equine photography, I know exactly how to show you and your horse in the best light - without any unnatural posing.
If I have it right in my head, Klaudia gave her mare a treat here. This resulted in one of my absolute favourite pictures! I didn't say anything to her, I just took the photo at the right moment. This is what she said about the photos, by the way:
"As I said, I'm really strict when it comes to pictures of myself, but there are so many in which I also feel and find myself beautiful🥰 The shoot with you was a valuable experience and I was able to learn through you and your way that it is possible to celebrate my photos too."
Why you can trust me
With my experience and sensitive approach, I make sure that you feel comfortable throughout the shoot. I work without rigid poses and create a relaxed atmosphere in which authentic moments are created.
First of all, if you want to be in the photos, that's great. But many customers come to me and say they only want photos of their horse, without them. And that's completely fine. It's your shoot, your moment just for you, you decide. We take the photos that YOU want.
The most important thing about a photo shoot is that you feel comfortable. This starts with the preparation: you decide what you want to wear in the photos. And it should always be something you feel good in.
If you would like to take a companion with you to make you feel at ease, they are very welcome.
Susanne wanted photos with her bright orange dress-isn't it just amazing?
How we create your dream images
With me, there are no rigid poses or forced instructions such as "Now smile please". I'll guide you through the shoot with gentle impulses to create natural, emotional images. Thanks to my experience, I know when the perfect moment comes - you don't have to force anything.
Often the horses give us ideas quite naturally and it doesn't take much more.
It doesn't have to be posed or forced. You can do just that: just be.
Your connection is usually exactly what makes the emotional, profound photos.
This picture of Sandra was taken when her mare Nobel discovered a tuft of grass at the edge of the path. We took advantage of the moment and Sandra was allowed to snuggle up to her for a moment.
Different perspectives
For people who don't like to stand in front of the camera, a slightly wider section is more suitable. We show a little more of the landscape and you still get intimate pictures with your horse.
Marie & Kia: Here I asked Marie if she could lean on Kia's withers.
And this picture was taken at the same shoot. It can also be just a detail where you can both be recognised but you're not looking at the camera.
Abstract & creative: This is a slightly older picture. You can recognise the horse and person, but it is very abstract due to the reflection of the water. If you are an art lover, this kind of picture is for you.
After the photo shoot
After the shoot you will receive a selection gallery from me in which you can choose your favourites. It goes without saying that I will only upload pictures to your gallery in which you look good. I sort out pictures in which you are blinking or talking in advance. My aim is for the photos to make you feel good.
During post-processing, I make sure that the light and colours on your face are soft. I retouch away spots and other skin blemishes. What I don't retouch are wrinkles. I find the laugh lines around the eyes particularly beautiful - for me, they are a sign of life and joie de vivre.
If your clothes are sticking out somewhere, either because you have treats in your pocket or because of the material, this will of course also be corrected.
Michelle & Quite Cool: You can create pictures like this simply by luring your horse to you with your hand or a treat.
My goal is that you get pictures that you love
It is always important that you talk to me and together we create images of you that you will love.
