The moon has fascinated people for thousands of years. It bathes our nights in soft light, influences the tides and symbolises change and constancy at the same time. For me as a photographer, the moon is a source of endless inspiration, a muse.

In my photo series "La Luna" the moon takes centre stage in a gentle interplay with horses. This series is more than just a collection of beautiful pictures. It tells of connection, change and beauty in all phases of our lives.

Why the moon?

For me, the moon symbolises the cycles of life. Just as it constantly changes shape - from a narrow crescent moon to a full, radiant ball of light - it shows us that change is natural. There are days when we feel complete and others when we feel uncertain or incomplete. The moon reminds us that we are valuable and beautiful in every phase. This is the message I wanted to convey with my series.

The symbolic power of horse and moon

Horses and the moon - both are deeply symbolic. Horses stand for freedom and strength, the moon for change and constancy. These two worlds come together in my paintings. The moonlight enhances the natural elegance of the horses and invites us to pause and feel the harmony between earth and sky.
