2025 demanded a lot from me.
It was a real roller coaster ride with crazy highs and really deep lows.
Right at the beginning of the year, I had to say goodbye to my grandmother. This was incredibly difficult and heartbreaking for our whole family. I am very grateful that I was able to take the time I needed to grieve in March.
During this time, Cantico, my horse, was my anchor and my sunshine. I am so in love with this horse. He is incredibly intelligent, fine-tempered, and learns incredibly fast. This year I slowly started looking for a suitable saddle and later started my first riding lessons. Now, in January 2026, we can already do our first small rides on horseback. I secretly dreamed of experiencing our first snow ride, but unfortunately the snow is still not here yet.
In December, Cantico moved again. Unfortunately, the old stable showed the first signs of metabolic problems, and I definitely didn't want to take that risk. He got through it very well and has already made many new friends.

One of my big wishes last year was to have my photo and graphic design work balance out better. Towards the end of the year, I was able to fulfill that wish.
In May, I had the opportunity to give my first photo retreat in Spain at Mas Oak and it was simply wonderful. Four great women from Switzerland, Germany, Slovakia and Quebec have entrusted me with their trust. It was a dream. We spent four intense, creative, and fun days together, and I am already very much looking forward to repeating it in May 2026.

By autumn, the number of bookings had increased significantly, so much so that I could hardly keep up with the follow-up work. The photos piled up on my desk and the stress increased. I was incredibly grateful for all the orders, but at the same time I could hardly fall asleep before Christmas because my mind kept going back to my to-do lists. For the new year, I consciously wish for more balance here.

A theme that persisted throughout the year was: the lack of appreciation.
There were people who asked me three times when their photos would finally be finished, only to never thank me after the shipment arrived.
Or people who asked me about my prices several times, even after I explained everything and sent them the link to the information page, hoping that there would still be a cheaper package available.
Or people who planned a shoot with me for months, only to cancel the day before and never contact me again.
In those moments, I didn’t feel valued. And if you are feeling offended right now, feel free to close my page and choose another photographer. Because I won’t tolerate such situations anymore in the new year.
This was one of several reasons why it was time for a rebrand. I already knew last year that I had grown out of my previous design. After all, I had designed it during my apprenticeship four to five years ago. My vision for the new year is to do fewer, but selected photo shoots and create real works of art for you. Because creativity does not happen under stress. I wish to have more peace, creativity, and genuine appreciation again.
In 2025, I was also able to learn that I don't need to become stronger, but rather clearer.
For that I am all the more grateful, for all the moments,
in which female customers feel like long-time friends,
in which people trust me completely and all creative ideas are welcome,
where customers invest four-digit amounts in their photos,
in which I have tears in my eyes because the connection between human and horse is so incredibly special,
in which I have the trust of clients who want to keep a permanent record of their horse's last photos,
where my clients book me several times a year,
in which someone consciously chooses me,
in which people allow me to follow my passion.
I hope you enjoyed this very concise overview of my year.
Now I am looking forward to 2026, the year of the horse!
If you have read this far, I wish you a wonderful start to the new year. It’s great that you’re here!
